Naked and Afraid

There’s just something about shivering, stressed and scared naked people that makes great television. No one knows why. It just is. Better to accept this reality rather than understand it, and Discovery’s ability to take such a weird premise—drop a couple of survivalists in the middle of nowhere with nothing but their birthday suits and their collective brainpower—and turn it into a national obsession is a testament to the producers and marketers who keep this show alive. Oh, and the pixelated parts are just frosting on the cake. We’re afraid we can’t stop watching.
