Golf Channel had its most-watched year ever in 2013, a 54% increase year-over-year since McCarley took over at the beginning of 2011. The growth and momentum also extended to Golf Channel’s digital platforms. While the network’s tournament coverage saw increases across the board, McCarley worked to position Golf Channel for long-range growth, most notably by finalizing the longest-spanning agreement in professional sports with an NBC Sports’ and PGA of America’s rights deal for the Ryder Cup through 2030.
