World domination? Why not, says the pioneering leader of QVC. The network has broadened its shopping district to include locales like Japan, Italy and China—and France is on the radar for 2015. This will expand QVC’s global multimedia ecommerce business to seven operations reaching nine countries. George is not only extending physical boundaries, he’s also growing the company’s core business—its ecommerce accounted for 39 percent of global revenue, compared to 11 percent last year— as well as second channel QVC Plus. A testament to its growth, after an absence of nearly two decades, QVC returned to the NASDAQ Stock Market in October 2014 in a move that gives investors the opportunity to invest directly in the company.
