Facilitating deals for A+E networks and its programming are top of mind for Garner, who played a pivotal role in growing the company’s SVOD services Lifetime Movie Club and History Vault. He’s also leading A+E’s expansion into podcasting through his collaboration across all brands, and is evolving educational outreach to forge new licensing businesses. Garner says the “velocity with which new platforms are entering the market to provide customers alternates to the customary cable subscription” is the industry’s biggest change of the last few years.
