Mark has been involved in the communications industry since he started with Corning Cable Systems (formerly Siecor) in 1987 as a field engineer. He spent 8 years in product management for optical test equipment followed by several years in systems engineering. It was as a systems engineer that Mark first became involved with fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks, providing passive network designs to clients deploying FTTH networks. As FTTH installations grew, Mark spent 3 years supporting the field deployment of these networks. Mark is now involved in the continuing development of FTTH markets and products with his primary focus on MSO applications. Mark is a graduate of Virginia Tech and West Virginia Wesleyan College.
