Marjorie Kaplan
Tapped for her new post in August on the merits of her keen eye for developing breakthrough content, Kaplan now resides in London and presides over strategy, coordination and execution of all international content and brand strategies across the Discovery portfolio and across platforms. She’s a mentor for the Women In Entertainment Mentorship Program, and has played a significant role in the organization’s growth. Though busier than ever, Kaplan says she relies on her favorite trick for unwinding: “A morning run—outside, rain or shine—and I guess that will mean more rain in my new job.”
Where are the biggest growth areas for women in cable?
I’m going with the obvious answer – international!
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
Find an inviolate time every day to disconnect from work and reconnect with something in the natural world. I walk my dog in the park every morning and NEVER take my phone with me.
