The fact that TiVo now has partnerships with numerous cable companies is in part due to Schmidt’s product design leadership, and her relentless focus on improving the TiVo experience. Schmidt has led the designs of TiVo’s award-winning user interface, which brings cable programming, on-demand, and broadband-delivered content together at last. She couldn’t be any better suited to her job. “I love TV,” she says. “Watching TV is a shared family experience, a great stress reliever and just plain makes me happy.”
