As the network’s president, Santana’s goal is to preserve and extend Telemundo’s reach across all viable platforms. And he’s had a banner year in doing so, as he helps steer the engagement of young audiences. In March, Season 4 of “El Senor de los Cielos,” a Telemundo super-series, aired to 2.79 million viewers—the largest total viewer premiere ratings in the network’s history. During Santana’s tenure with the company, Telemundo has become the second-largest worldwide distributor of Spanish-language programming, with programs airing in more than 100 countries. Santana is a current member of the Board of the Miami Symphony Orchestra.
