Inspired by fresh, inventive and “unreal” (pun intended) ways of mining insights and telling stories, Tabares leads her team in integrating traditional and emerging research methods. She leans in to help define brands and knows when to lean out to help grow loyalty. Tabares has received a Gold Effie for ad effectiveness. What grade do you give the cable industry on diversity and why?
B+.  I am proud that the cable industry continues to make great strides diversifying its workforce on all levels, but there is always room for improvement, especially in the top ranks.

The technology that will most benefit cable over the next year is…
Addressability

What television show/s – cable or broadcast – best embrace diversity?
“Born This Way,” “Black-ish,” and “Fear the Walking Dead.”

My personal election campaign slogan would be…
Let’s do this!

Favorite charity organization you work with?
This year, I discovered Fiver, which is a children’s foundation that makes a 10-year commitment to at-risk children from underserved communities throughout NYC. Its mission is to empower children to become engaged citizens, to succeed in school and to develop a career vision. Working with our Corporate Social Responsibility team, we hosted Fiver high school students for a day of hearing from employees across the company and learning about different functions within the organization. It was really inspiring for them!
