With competition for the Hispanic viewer fiercer than ever, Telemundo is riding high with strong ratings and growing viewership. The network amped up its
original programming and also is benefiting from full integration in the NBCU family. Silberwasser, charged with the overall responsibility for the Telemundo
broadcast network, including Telemundo Studios, and cable net Universo, is a big reason for the success. Last year was a banner year for Telemundo with the launch of three new products on the same night, dubbed “MarRes.” It resulted in Telemundo being the top-rated channel in primetime in the US Hispanic market for many consecutive months. Working closely with NBCU Telemundo Enterprises’ senior team and Telemundo’s leadership, he continues to develop and execute the entertainment, sports and news growth strategy, with a focus on increased audience share and profitability.
