Conkling continues to oversee development at NBCU, and this year clocked another bounty of accomplishments including leading digital strategy development, working with senior management to evaluate digital investments and assess international growth opportunities. Leveraging and monetizing NBCU’s content across platforms remains a priority as well. As director of the Alliance for Women in Media, she says, “I think it’s all about women looking out for one another. We should all have a list of three to five women who are making strong contributions to the industry, and every time someone calls us for a referral, a mentoring opportunity or a speaking engagement, we should put these women forward.”

The announced launches of direct to consumer SVOD services from some of the industry’s top brands is a pretty big story.
