Dubbed as “inclusive and collaborative” by colleagues, Schwartz has always been willing to try something new. In the ’80s, she got some odd looks for taking a class in something called cable TV. “It seemed to me to have tremendous potential,” she recalls. “So against the advice of many people I respected, I pursued a career in the cable TV industry. Twenty five years later, we now know that cable television revolutionized the way customers watch TV.” In the past year, Schwartz’s work has included international deals for more than 100 Sundance/IFC Films’ titles.
