Who has been your strongest mentor, and why?
A fellow colleague of mine who has been instrumental in my recent development always asks, “To what end?” The answer to that question is critical when one is determining their next move for any situation, and I value my mentor for being a straight shooter and asking me self-reflective questions like that one. The question “To what end?” is also a way to keep one focused on an established goal.
What qualities do you look for when making a new hire?
When hiring new employees, I look for individuals who bring a diversity in thought, experience and approach. I place a high value on individuals who can articulate their passions and opinions in the interview.
