Ellis’ passion is to help people new or old to cable to understand the industry better, and with historical and competitive context. She is a translator, turning complex language surrounding the technologies of cable and telecom service providers into easy-to-understand content. Ellis, the mastermind behind the weekly “Translation Please” column, has been a cable mainstay for more than two decades.
