Leslie Ellis

As a reporter, author and adviser, Ellis has been a cable mainstay for more than two decades. Her regular column “Translation Please” demystifies the technology behind cable, multichannel and broadband delivery systems, a task she extends to Ellis Edits Inc., the writing and analysis firm she owns. Meanwhile, Ellis has an interesting take on why women should join the cable engineering ranks: “Engineers are seekers of truth, which is refreshing, and there’s almost always some wry beneath the engineer in them. It’s a great place to be – but Mars needs women!”
