Lauren Rogers

Partner Services Supervisor, Viamedia

Rogers oversees cross channel marketing schedules for more than 60 MVPD partners, which translates to more than 9 million marketing spots for month. The responsibility forces her to be a creative problem solver—a role at which she excels. “I feel that this industry employs such creative minds and powerful leadership, so in the cable world, the sky is the limit and I am proud to be a part of it,” she says.

What makes you most excited about this industry as you advance in your career?

I value being a part of the ever-changing cable industry because each day presents a challenge that wasn’t there the day before, and I thrive on having to use creativity and intellect to solve each task. I feel that this industry employs such creative minds and powerful leadership, so in the cable world, the sky is the limit and I am proud to be a part of it.

Who has been your biggest mentor and why?

My boss, James O’Neill, is hands down the most valuable person in my professional career. He guides my every move, without making me feel micromanaged, only to make sure that I grow in my profession and that I am set up for success. The expectations he places on my work drive me to overachieve each task so that I can make both of us proud. Sometimes the word mentor doesn’t seem like it fits his true impact on my work, but one thing is certain: that his leadership and guidance are what has boosted me to where I am today.

What three things can’t you live without?

–        Coffee- cliché but absolutely true. You do not want to cross me before I’ve had at least 1 cup.

–        Detangler – it is an absolute must when you have as much hair as I do!

–        Kentucky Basketball- no explanation necessary
