Harris provides legal advice to NBCU’s senior management team and supervises the company’s Law Department, which handles legal issues for all business units. She also leads NBCU’s global regulatory and legislative agenda. Harris’ counsel is integral to the company’s strategy for distribution of content across the globe, particularly in today’s ever-changing, multiplatform media landscape. And she has the experience under her belt to guide her, having previously served as deputy counsel and deputy assistant to the president. In that capacity she tackled issues ranging from congressional investigations to compliance and risk management. When it comes to commitment to diversity, Harris walks the walk. She has worked with minority- and women-owned law firms and has encouraged the legal community to embrace diversity in hiring.
