As Director, Advertising Sales at Crown Media Family Networks, Medinger oversees all ad sales and integrated marketing campaigns for Group M clients, devising multiplatform campaigns for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel and collaborating with the ad sales marketing team to create custom sponsorship opps. It didn’t take long for her to impress superiors, who promoted her to the Director level in December after only a few months on the job. It’s no wonder: Medinger closed the largest agency Upfront deal for 2013/14 and marked an increase of 16% in total dollars across both networks, all while growing the advertising sales business by attracting $4 million dollars in new business in her brief time at the company. She’s especially adept at selling Hallmark’s original programming, and has become a master of selling both networks even if the client only thought it desired one. In late 2013, Crown’s ad revenue was up 17 percent over the same time the year prior, meaning that Medinger faces a challenge to maintain that momentum. But at this rate, we’re not really worried. She’ll figure out a way.
