Behind the scenes, Sapan ensures AMC Networks will keep raising the bar here and overseas. Acquiring Chellomena will give the company programming global exposure, and a $200 million joint venture with BBC Worldwide includes co-production opportunities with BBC Television, U.S. distribution rights to BBC World News, and a 49.9 percent stake in BBC America.
