Philpott had another characteristically busy year, continuing to lead a nationwide regulatory affairs team of 26 people and overseeing the development and implementation of regulatory strategies impacting Cox’s voice, video and broadband products. She also provides legal counsel to internal business clients concerning the rights and obligations of the company in the provision of cable and telecom services, and leads Cox’s policy and advocacy efforts. She prefers to mentor via “interactions with a broader reach of individuals,” Philpott says. “Instead of limiting myself to fewer mentees, I try to open myself up to as many touch points as possible with numerous individuals.”
