In 2013, Soltesz’s responsibilities ballooned considerably as her accounts went from 16 to a whopping 49. But she didn’t miss a beat, closing distribution deals worth 1 million combined SD launches for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel with integral affiliate accounts including Charter, Cox, and Atlantic Broadband. On the TV everywhere front, Soltesz developed and executed a number of effective integrations with major clients including Mediacom, Centurylink, COX, WOW!, and MCTV. Considering that Crown lacks the leverage of larger players, this Director, Distribution also must spend more time on the road, taking her case to distributors face to face and always emphasizing the power of the Hallmark brand and its original programming. It’s easier said than done, but Soltesz’s determination and persistence helps her figure out what the clients need and forge individualized deals that meet both side’s objectives. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it.
