How do you define a successful career?
To me, a successful career is defined by the level of enjoyment and challenges of the work itself. In my view, someone who has had a positive impact on the company, earned the respect of her peers, and created an environment where a team can thrive and grow has been successful in her career.
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
Balancing a personal-professional life is always challenging and what I have found most helpful is to set clear expectations, both at home and at work. I’ve learned that everyone loses when I’m overextended and saying “no” is not a sign of weakness or a lack of commitment, but rather a sign that you are in control.
When not in the office, where are we most likely to find you?
You can always find me outdoors with my family – hiking, swimming, kayaking, snowshoeing – whatever makes sense for the season! We live on a lake in a wooded area and take advantage of it every chance we get.
