Perrette’s been a star in international waters, with Discovery’s international revenue surpassing U.S. revenue for the first time in company history in 2Q14. Perrette has led the push into global sports, which includes its EuroSports investment. Up ahead, he’ll oversee the launch of DPlay, Discovery’s direct-to-consumer, subscription based, on-demand and live streaming service to five more markets (it’s already available in Norway) and the Eurosport Player integration. Good thing travel is a passion for him. Perrette relocated to London last year. He’s lived on three continents (North America, Europe and Asia) and is fluent in French and Spanish.

FCC Getting New Round of Broadcast Ownership Input

Reply comments are due today at the FCC on its quadrennial review of broadcast ownership rules. That means it’ll probably be Monday before the FCC posts them all, and while many comments are likely to restate entrenched positions, a few new threads may still emerge.
