Jason Weil, Principal Architect in the Network Architecture group, Cox Communications. Jason is responsible for the IPv6 Architecture and for providing guidance and requirements to the Product, System and Operational teams throughout Cox as Technology leader for the IPv6 Migration Program. In his eight years at Cox, Jason has served in operational and engineering roles including operational support for Cox’s initial backbone deployment following the @Home bankruptcy and leading the IP network design and migration as part of the deployment of Cox’s optical backbone network.

Jason is an active contributor in multiple Standard’s organizations including recent work within the IETF’s v6ops WG and Cablelab’s IPv6 WG as well as past support for the 40G/100G Ethernet standard in the IEEE.

Jason has 13 years of industry experience including roles at General Electric, IBM, and NetRail.
