Citing data from Nielsen/IAG, Kilar said Hulu’s video ad service is 2x more effective than traditional TV ad services. “We believe that all studios and networks will recognize that it is in their economic interest to insist on per-user per-month pricing in all their distribution relationships,” he said.

It Figures: Hulu expects to generate nearly $500mln in revenue from ads and subscriptions this year, up from $263mln in ’10 and surpass 1mln Hulu Plus subs.
