Vines is accountable for the development and profitability of a business unit with 1,700 employees and 500,000 customers in 17 parishes in Louisiana, including Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans. “One of my proudest moments in the past year was being chosen by NBC Universal/USA Networks as one of five story tellers [for “The Moth”] to share personal stories of overcoming racism and bias,” says Vines. “I was able to share my story of rising from being a ward of the State of Connecticut’s foster care system to being a successful businesswoman and mother of three beautiful girls.”
