As Insight split its technical operations from Comcast in ’08, Goodrum played an instrumental role by undertaking a slew of projects to improve the reliability, redundancy and security of the MSO’s infrastructure. Customers’ appreciation of the transition’s smoothness is evidenced by Insight’s significant increase in customer satisfaction levels as measured by JD Power and Assoc. Goodrum remains the MSO’s lead technical interface with numerous vendors and signs off on equipment deals related to network management and capacity. He’s an active member of SCTE and was a presenter at a network operations session at this year’s Cable Show.
