Marketing of a Continuing Series | HBO – Game of Thrones Season 5

Game of Thrones’ Season 5 campaign engaged its rabid fan base in myriad ways. Like its SXSWesteros activation at the Austin-based music, tech and media festival, which had things like “Interactive Sword Training,” a photo op on the Iron throne, interacting with dragons on a green screen. HBO created teasers of upcoming reveals, a GOT video game, Game of Thrones Monopoly and mysterious key art in order to create buzz and get fans talking about the anticipated season.
