The longest-tenured person at Hispanic Information Telecommunications Network, Balseca-Almonte has retooled the network’s programming lineup, resulting in a ratings increase of 40 percent. She works with a number of Hispanic producers and editors who have gone on to create award-winning content at other networks. Balseca-Almonte continues to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation because, she says, they “made a wish come true for one of my relatives as well as many other families going through tough times.”
