Simons spearheaded signifi cant growth during the past year at NAMIC, culminating in the addition of new chapters in Detroit and Virginia. In this age of consolidation and technological advancement, he has kept the organization relevant by offering invaluable resources to its more than 3,000 members. Simons’ propensity for mentorship is expected considering his role, but he is known for going beyond the call of duty. He says of his mentorship style, “I believe candid discussions are best and outlining the pros and cons facing the individual. They are successful because it encourages the mentee to face the realities of their companies and careers.”
