In addition to negotiating numerous agreements with local and state jurisdictions, her team sponsored more than 200 community investment events. “Diversity in 2014 means diversity of thought and experiences,” she says. “The cable industry continues to innovate and grow at lightning speeds and draw in more consumers from diverse backgrounds with varying telecommunications needs.”

What’s the definition of diversity in 2014, and how can the cable industry do better in the area of inclusiveness?

For me, diversity in 2014 means diversity of thought and experiences. The cable industry continues to innovate and grow at lightning speeds and draw in more consumers from diverse backgrounds with varying telecommunications needs. The cable industry must continue its already robust efforts to draw in and retain diverse talent at all levels. This will require our industry to continue to showcase diverse talent and content, and to continue to ensure that a diverse workforce is involved in the innovation, execution and delivery of our products and services.
