The past year has seen her spearheading efforts to restructure the finance organization to better meet the needs of Cablevision’s focus as a more customer-centric organization. “I think one of the major stories [this year] is the change in traditional video consumption and the growth in data usage. This is a great opportunity for cable to position themselves as the premier providers of connectivity,” she says.

How do you define a successful career?

I believe a successful career is one in which you feel like you are making a contribution to the success of your organization and enjoy interacting with the people in the company. If you can accomplish both of these, you will look forward to coming to work each day and that defines success.

Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?

We all are devoted to our careers and want to be sure that everything is taken care of all the time. The only way to do that and still have balance is to be sure you have a management team that is well trained and capable so that they can handle anything at all in your absence. This provides the best opportunity for your team and it helps you devote some time to your personal life.
