Put simply, DSCOVRD’s mission is to provide fans with compelling science-related news and current events. Launched in March 2015 as part of a digital content initiative with sister net TLC, the blog offers original news and current events content. Space, tech and nature entries do particularly well with high-income men between 25-34, but female demos are drawn to DSCOVRD’s animal and wildlife stories. Some 10 months after its launch, DSCOVRD accounts for more than 5% of all traffic to discovery.com on any given day. The blog is forecasted to receive approximately 20 million page views in its first 12 months.
