David Nevins
Title: President, Showtime Networks
Years in Cable: 5
Education: Amherst College
Former producer Nevins is a magnet for talented producers and actors, which makes him a principal player in Showtime’s recent string of hits, from “The Affair” to “Masters of Sex” to “Homeland,” the first project he greenlit at the network. Showtime nabbed 24 Emmy nominations this year and a record-breaking nine Golden Globe noms. Looking ahead, Nevins and his team developed comedy series “Happyish,” which Showtime debuted in April. He also greenlit the highly anticipated reboot of “Twin Peaks,” which, with Nevins at the helm, is in excellent hands even if it ends up being without David Lynch.
