His team of more than 4,000 employees serves accounts totaling $2 billion plus in annual revenue, indicating he took this business advice to heart: “Take great care of your employees, and they will take great care of your customers,” he says. “A customer experience delivered by a passionate and empowered employee becomes a unique competitive advantage.”

Best business advice you’ve received?

“Take great care of your employees and they will take great care of your customers.” This advice is especially important in our increasingly competitive industry, where products can be duplicated and prices can be matched.  How can cable better support diversity?

Cable can help support diversity by ensuring each company’s workforce more closely reflects the diverse customers we serve.  Achieving this level of diversity will unlock untapped organizational synergy which will be measurable on the income statement, noticeable by our customers and welcomed by our employees. We must pursue diversity with the same conviction we pursue all desired business outcomes.

 How do you define success?

For me, success is helping everyone that I share life with (i.e., family, friends, co-workers, etc.) find their passion and achieve the goals that they’ve defined for themselves. Based on this definition, I’m the only one that can stop me from being successful every day.
