Under Antonellis’s watch, Vubiquity is experiencing unprecedented growth, expanding its reach from 39 to 117 countries. She’s led the strategic acquisitions of service provider Juice Worldwide and automation system Digital End-To-End. And, she’s responsible for partnerships with content providers like Turner, in which the companies created a technology to distribute content in the on demand market. Where are the biggest growth areas for women in cable?

The tech sector, as is the case in many industries. Strong developers and product innovators, male or female, remain in the highest demand. These areas create a real opportunity for the development of new talent in the field.

What is the most important aspect of mentoring?

I’d have to say, for the mentor to take the time to understand and connect with the mentee. Everyone learns differently, so identifying the most effective approach for each individual is really important. Also, developing that great connection where the mentee feels comfortable enough to ask anything is a key aspect in the relationship.

What/who inspires you at work? What/who inspires you outside of the office?

What’s most inspirational for me at the office is when I see that people are just working really well together. Nothing makes me feel better than when I hear employees talking about going out together after work. It’s encouraging to know that colleagues can have a heated business debate in the office and then go out for a beer together at the end of the day. Outside of work, I’m inspired by my family and closest friends, for more reasons than I can put down on paper.
