Daniel York

Title: Chief Content Officer, AT&T/DirecTV

Years in Cable: 25+

With AT&T’s purchase of DirecTV, York—who formerly led the telco’s content and ad sales strategy—finds himself back home again. With oversight for DirecTV’s investments, acquisitions, development and original content, York steered the satellite company to the success that primed it for the $48.5 billion acquisition, which created the world’s largest pay TV entity. And he’ll be a valuable asset to the merged companies’ future business plans, including the launch of a new streaming service. 
