In the past year, McConkey has been a leading figure in the merging of Scripps’ external sites into one new corporate Website. She also aligned Scripps’ corporate social responsibility initiatives under the “Change the World” umbrella and developed a corporate digital and social media communications strategy including Facebook, Twitter, blogs and Websites. She’s also a key member of Scripps’ Washington, D.C., strategy, leveraging corporate social responsibility causes. Her best advice for a quick mid-day re-energizer? “I actually have scrapped my chair and sit on a large exercise ball when I’m at my desk, which helps my body and mind stay more engaged and ‘on’ throughout the day,” she says.
