Johnson’s stove is firing on all four burners. As president of the Food category at Scripps Networks Interactive, she continues to reinvent the way people think about food by delivering transcendent content. Johnson drives the Food Network’s philanthropic efforts to eradicate childhood hunger and also participated in C200’s planning committee for Reach-out Young Women’s Leadership Day, an initiative program for 200 public high school senior girls. “The ongoing entrepreneurial nature of cable is a very fertile ground for women,” Johnson says.

How can cable do better job at supporting the industry’s women?

I honestly think cable does a very good job of supporting women, whether it be through WICT or NAMIC. The ongoing entrepreneurial nature of cable is a very fertile ground for women.

How do you define a successful career?

Loving what you do and making a difference.

Practicing the piano, eating and drinking.
