More than a year at the helm at NBCU’s Cable Entertainment Group, Hammer’s domain is shaping up quite nicely. For starters, the group is on track to account for more than 50 percent of the company’s total profit. In fact, the NBCU division outperformed all other cable groups at this year’s Upfronts. But Hammer is always looking for the next opportunity. Ever the change agent, this September she soldered together Bravo, Oxygen Media, E! Entertainment, and Esquire Network to create the Lifestyle Networks group under the guidance of Frances Berwick. The reorganization stands to revitalize the entire group.
