This show is disgusting. Really disgusting. In fact, it’s so disgusting that we felt obligated to give it an award. The fact that the daring Zimmern—who seems willing to put just about anything in his mouth—hasn’t died of some kind of bacterial infection, toxic reaction or viral outbreak is as amazing as the fact that he’s able to hold some of this food down. The on-location aspect of the show is its best feature because we’re exposed to cultures and culinary taboos that teach us something about our own diets—which frankly can be pretty darned scary as well.
