Already a precedent setter in the cable world, Lynch broke another barrier by becoming the first woman to hold her current position. How can cable do better job at supporting the industry’s women?
As an industry, we need to continue to promote diversity in the workplace. This includes developing women through leadership programs, developing a sustainable pipeline for women in STEM and putting women in Sr. Exec roles with P&L responsibility. Comcast does a great job in helping to lead the way in these categories.

The biggest story in cable this year …the headlines around the Comcast and Time Warner Merger.
How do you define a successful career?
I evaluate my career as a journey – success to me is measured by the many people I am able to help and develop, the positive influence and impact I’ve had with those around me and the goals that my team and I have been able to achieve along the way.
Best trick for maintaining the personal-professional life balance?
The balance is in the juggling…Plan what is important, including down time.
When not in the office, where are we most likely to find you?
When not in the office you can most likely to find me on my road bike with my husband cycling across the golden gate bridge.
