Public Affairs Campaign | Lifetime – Broad Focus

Hats off to Lifetime for this initiative to provide women more opportunities to write, develop, produce and direct content for the network. Broad Focus not only brings awareness to the lack of female representation in TV and film—but it’s also a key driver of Lifetime’s own efforts to bring more women into the fold. While last year in the U.S., only 7% of feature films were directed by women, 20% of Lifetime’s movie directors were female, and 43% of its writers, 35% of its executive producers and 29% of its producers were women, far exceeding the industry averages of 11%, 19% and 23% respectively.
