ESPN’s evp of content operations & creative services, Jodi Markley, is a woman of many hobbies. An avid volunteer for the American Red Cross, saving lives is important to her. Once she even saved someone’s life at a dinner party, giving a guest the Heimlich maneuver. To this day, Jodi and the guest remain friends over the near-death experience. Markley is also very active and enjoys doing yoga and gardening. “I started organic gardening about 10 years ago and encouraged my kids to help me with the harvest—mainly to get them to eat more vegetables,” Jodi admits. She keeps it up, though, because “gardening is so relaxing and soothing for the soul.”
