Google Fiber has been all about gigabit speeds. Faster is better, right? Well, for April Fool’s Day, the company decided to (fake) launch a “Dial-Up Mode.” Remember that lovely sound? Reminds us of a fax machine… They’re saying it’s a way for you to “get your time back.” Meaning, more family time, more call to Grandma, and lots more hugs. It’s been nearly eight years since Charter and Altice USA agreed to carry one another’s news networks, but that’s coming to an end. Optimum customers will soon lose Spectrum News NY1 and Charter subs will lose News 12.
