xG Technology has developed a mobile phone service that uses unlicensed spectrum to reduce the cost of both wireless voice and data.

Boasting a multi-continent effort and portfolio of 50 US and 105 international patents, U.S.-based xG Technology has developed the xMax Internet-based platform that uses a fully mobile handset that doesn’t require the use of a computer or broadband Internet connection.

xMax transmits over unlicensed spectrum and was built as a totally Internet-based digital system. The company can enable communications providers to compete with national carriers by offering consumer unlimited voice and data plans both locally and long distance, low-cost international calling, no contracts and home phone and high-speed Internet service.
