A new report from Dell’Oro Group on the wireless voice core market indicates that market revenues grew more than 10 percent to $1.5 billion in the fourth quarter of 2009, the highest level since the year-ago period.

“The fourth quarter was the silver lining last year for the wireless voice core market,” said Greg Collins, VP at Dell’Oro Group, in a statement. “The market is still far from the level reached in 2008; however, we believe the market has stabilized and will not continue to see the steep revenue declines seen from 2008 to 2009."??

According to the report, Huawei and ZTE gained market share in 2009 due to their strong presence in the high-growth developing regions of Asia Pacific, EMEA, and Latin America.
