Mid-Atlantic Sports Net took a shot at Comcast SportsNet with a full-page ad in Sun’s The Washington Post denouncing the MSO’s lawsuit as a "heavy-handed" attempt to "mislead and inflame" Washington Nationals’ fans. In an open letter to Nats supporters, MASN vp/exec gm Bob Whitelaw said Comcast is trying to hold DC’s new MLB franchise "hostage … for its own self-interest." Comcast said it won’t carry Nats’ games on Comcast SportsNet while its suit against MASN is in litigation (Cfax 4/25).
