Insight launched its VoIP roll out in select areas of northeast IN. It plans to make VoIP available to remaining markets by year’s end. It offers circuit-switch phone in some markets. Like other MSOs, Insight says its phone service will distinguish itself from products like Vonage by providing higher quality reception on its own network. Insight video and high-speed Internet subs get unlimited local and unlimited domestic long distance calling for $40/month. — Cablevision added free features (including VIP ringing, find me, caller ID on call waiting, busy redial and anonymous call blocking) to VoIP Optimum Voice service.
