Syniverse Technologies has been selected by Canadian telecommunications provider Videotron for enhanced mobile messaging, roaming and anti-fraud services on Videotron’s new 3G network. For messaging, Syniverse’s SMS-IG and MMS-IG solutions will enable Videotron’s mobile subscribers to send text and multimedia messages to users on other networks. From a roaming and fraud prevention perspective, Data Clearing House for GSM and Financial Clearing House for GSM will facilitate the financial settlement of Videotron’s roaming traffic, while Syniverse DataNet will protect its subscribers from roaming fraud. Videotron will use Syniverse’s IPX Network Transport solution to enable access to mobile data services via a single network.
